THROWBACK: July 9, 2019 β Our First Ever Clinical Before this day, we were just trying our best. Reaching out to warriors, dropping off drugs and drips at hospitals, hoping they'd get to the people who needed them. But we had no way to track who we were actually helping. No data. No records. Just passion and good intentions. And that made it hard to grow. We reached out to organizations, individuals, anyone who could help us do more, and we got turned down everywhere. No track record, no previous beneficiaries, nothing to point to and say "this is what we've done." Then IHS Towers decided to take a chance on us. It became their 2019 corporate social responsibility project, CSR, and in many ways, they helped start this organization with us. They came in numbers, ready to support. But nothing prepared them for what they saw. Sickle cell is a disease people know about, but knowing and seeing are different things. Wheelchairs. Crutches. Mothers in tears. One of their senior staff said it plainly: despite knowing sickle cell was painful, he had never seen firsthand just how bad it could get for people, not until that day. Dominion Army of God Ministries stood with us too, in that same season. That was our first clinical. July 9, 2019. The day people who believed in nothing but our passion decided to believe in us. This is where it all began.
